I am so glad you are interested in being a part of our faith community. Some of you are new to Rochester, while others are simply new to CCC, yet everyone asks the same questions as they enter a new spiritual and social setting.

Dr. Paul Brushaber, Senior Pastor

First, what does this church believe?

Please be sure to explore the What We Believe part of our website. In short, we are a conservative evangelical church; i.e. we believe the Bible is God’s Word and that we need a relationship with Jesus Christ in order to spend eternity with God in Heaven. Everything else we teach is based on and supports these two simple truths

Second, are people here like me?

CCC is representative of Rochester at large. We are a melting pot of religious and social backgrounds. Many of us are from Catholic and Lutheran roots, while others are from Baptist and Methodist backgrounds. We are doctors, realtors, nurses, engineers, managers, electricians, plumbers and every other part of our employment community. With about 900 families at CCC, there are many people just like you.

Third, how can I get connected?

Most churches are friendly. But most people want more than friendliness - they want friends. Let us know how you would like to connect with other people at CCC by filling out a connection form (on the weekend bulletin) or contacting the church office. Small groups, Bible studies, service and volunteer opportunities are just a few of the ways to connect and start relationships.

Our Story
Christ Community Church was founded in 1967 by the Northwestern District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, a conservative evangelical denomination. A building was purchased in those early years at 804 East Center Street. Like many churches, the congregation struggled to break through certain stages of growth, largely due to the restriction of its facility and perhaps a little lack of sense of what "could be". For many years it remained a lovely church of about 100 people on a Sunday.

In 1993 the church made many dramatic changes. The name was changed, the church moved, the style of worship changed, and the vision changed. Since then God has rewarded those initiatives with dramatic growth. The church has seen consistent and aggressive growth to the 1400-1600 weekend attendance range. We have expanded the facility three more times and are looking at a potential relocation. Many people have given their lives to Christ, and about 900 families call CCC "home".

Our history reflects our future. CCC has been one of Rochester's most exciting church stories. And, we believe God is not finished.
