WEEKEND SERVICES IN kidcity
What to Expect
Adults, join us in the auditorium for a service designed for you while we engage your kids in an hour designed just for them! To get started, come to the kidcity desk by Door 3 where a smiling face will welcome you and get your kids checked-in. Children's programming is available at all services for children six weeks old - 5th grade. We partner with parents in laying the spiritual foundation for children to be life-long followers of Jesus Christ. We are committed to providing a safe and fun environment so children can grow and encounter a loving God.
Safety & Security
Your child's safety is very important to us. Every weekend, your child is assigned a random four-digit alpha-numeric code on their name tag and your security receipt that you will use to pick-up your child from kidcity. Should we need you during the service, the last four digits of your phone number will appear on the two black boxes on the front wall in the auditorium.
Each weekend, your kids are joined by amazing volunteers that love God and want to hang out with your kiddos. Each volunteer has met with a staff member, gone through training, and is screened with a background check.
What do my kids experience during the hour?
Six weeks - 24 months
Devoted team members care for your child and begin instilling the concepts of trust. We have volunteers who will lovingly care for your child.
"Jesus love you and knows you by name" is conveyed through words and actions.
Two years - Five years old
Kids participate in a Bible Story, worship songs, coloring and/or craft, and get their wiggles out in the gym as they play on slides and climbing toys. Our curriculum, First Look, is based on one of three simple, but powerful, truths. The entire curriculum is constructed to meet your preschoolers where they are cognitively, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially. Through age appropriate activities, preschoolers are building their spiritual foundation so that by the time they graduate to Kindergarten they know these three basic truths.
-God Made Me
-God Loves Me
-Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever
Kids start in the large group room with interactive worship, a Bible Story, and response time where they can respond to the lesson they just heard in their own way with the "Go Deep" take-home page they are given. For the last 15 to 20 minutes, kids move to their small group rooms which are designated by grade and will be picked up in these rooms. Our curriculum theme changes every month making it exciting and fun for our kids! See our current theme below.
Who doesn’t love a good emoji?! Happy, sad, scared, or mad—we can show people how we’re feeling with just one little picture. Emoji’s are also the perfect way to unpack the Book of Psalms! During “Emoji Madness,” kids will use different emoji’s to tell the Bible story and to discover how God helps us manage our emotions.
Our 4th and 5th graders meet in the Warehouse located at the back of the gym. They spend time hanging out playing carpet ball, foosball and other fun games and then experience worship, a large group lesson, and small group time. We want kids to build relationships with God and with friends. Each month, students study a different topic to help them grow their faith, be more confident, and become disciples of Jesus. Some of the topics we’ll cover this year include: integrity, serving others, resisting temptation, and making wise choices Come hang out with us this weekend – you won’t want to miss it!
During kids' elementary years, we want them to know and understand the following:
1. God loves me and wants to have a relationship with me.
2. I can trust God no matter what.
3. God has a plan for me.
4. I need to honor God in all I say and do.
5. I choose to use my faith to love and serve others.
