Christ Community Church
Our History

Christ Community Church was founded in 1967 by the Northwestern District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, a conservative evangelical denomination. A building was purchased in those early years at 804 East Center Street. Like many churches, the congregation struggled to break through certain stages of growth, largely due to the restriction of its facility and perhaps a little lack of sense of what "could be". For many years it remained a lovely church of about 100 people on a Sunday.

In 1993 the church made many dramatic changes. The name was changed, the church moved, the style of worship changed, and the vision changed. Since then God has rewarded those initiatives with dramatic growth. The church has seen consistent and aggressive growth to the 1200-1500 weekend attendance range. We have expanded the facility three more times and are looking at a potential relocation. Many people have given their lives to Christ, and well over 2400 people call CCC "home".

Our history reflects our future. CCC has been one of Rochester's most exciting church stories. And, we believe God is not finished.
